POLICY

1. Scope of Services & Client Responsibility

I provide CAD design and drafting services only. Clients must supply clear dimensions, references, functional intent, and design direction before work begins.

I do not create product concepts from scratch, perform industrial design ideation, or determine requirements on behalf of the client. My role is to translate an existing idea into a manufacturable design based on the information provided.

Accuracy, functionality, and outcome are dependent on the completeness and correctness of client-supplied information.

2. Payment Terms

  • A non-refundable down payment is required before any work begins.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full before final files are released.

  • No work will start without a deposit, and no files are delivered without full payment.

3. Revisions Policy

  • Revisions are included only within seven (7) days of final project delivery.

  • After one week, the project is considered closed.

  • Any changes requested after this period require a new order or change order.

Revisions do not include scope changes, redesigns, or new functionality.

4. Change Orders

Any request that alters dimensions, function, materials, manufacturing method, tolerances, or original scope after approval constitutes a change order and will be quoted separately.

5. Project Completion, Acceptance & Abandonment

  • Approval of previews, screenshots, interim files, or final delivery constitutes acceptance.

  • Lack of response within 7 days of delivery is considered final acceptance.

  • Projects inactive for more than 14 days due to lack of client communication may be considered abandoned, closed, and are not refundable.

6. File Delivery & Ownership

Delivered files may include:

  • STEP (.step)

  • STL (.stl)

  • PDF drawings (if included in the package)

Native CAD files (.ipt) are not released under any circumstances unless explicitly agreed to in writing before the project begins and priced separately.

Unless otherwise stated, designs are licensed only for the intended use. Redistribution, resale, or reuse beyond the original scope requires written permission.

7. Manufacturing, Tolerances & Fit Disclaimer

All designs are created to nominal dimensions. Manufacturing tolerances, material behavior, shrinkage, print orientation, tooling, and fabrication method can affect final fit and performance.

Final verification, tolerancing strategy, and manufacturability validation are the client’s responsibility.

8. Prototyping & Testing Responsibility

Prototyping and functional testing are strongly recommended before production.

I am not responsible for failures, performance issues, or financial loss resulting from skipping prototype validation or testing.

9. Liability & Post-Delivery Responsibility

Once a project is completed and delivered:

  • Responsibility transfers fully to the client.

  • I am not liable for manufacturing defects, assembly issues, material failure, third-party fabrication errors, or misuse of files.

Liability is limited to the amount paid for the design service only. I am not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Refund Policy

Refunds are not guaranteed and are only issued under the following conditions:

  • I am unable to complete the project as agreed.

  • A mutual cancellation occurs before any design work begins.

Refunds are not issued for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect or incomplete client-provided dimensions

  • Post-delivery manufacturability issues

  • Differences in expectations not documented in the original scope

11. “As-Is” Delivery

All designs are delivered as-is, based on the approved scope, inputs, and client direction. Any post-approval changes are considered new work.

12. Professional Disclaimer

I do not provide engineering certification, safety validation, regulatory compliance approval, or legal guarantees. Clients are responsible for ensuring designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

13. Governing Terms

These services are governed by the laws of the designer’s operating jurisdiction.

 Client Acknowledgment

By placing an order, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
