Concept to CAD
Stone’s Drafting provides professional 3D modeling and 2D drafting services for prototypes, CNC machining, and production-ready components.
We specialize in transforming concepts into precise digital files using industry-standard software, delivering clean geometry, accurate dimensions, and manufacturable results.
Whether you need a single part modeled or a complete drawing package, we turn ideas into engineered reality
Take your idea and turn it into something real, starting here.
Why Clients Choose Stone's Drafting
Stone’s Drafting is built on technical precision, manufacturing awareness, and real-world design experience.
With formal education in mechanical engineering and shop management, combined with hands-on CAD development in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, every project is approached with both design accuracy and manufacturability in mind.
Each model and drawing is created with attention to tolerances, production feasibility, and clean geometry — ensuring files are not only visually accurate, but ready for prototyping, CNC machining, or 3D printing.
Clear communication, structured revisions, and professional file delivery make the process efficient and dependable from start to finish.
The Process
Take a look into the process of booking a 3D part draft in detail!
Consultation
Every project begins with a detailed consultation to understand your vision and technical requirements.
During this phase we review:
-
The purpose and function of the part
-
Dimensions, references, or sketches (if available)
-
Intended manufacturing method (3D printing, CNC, injection molding, etc.)
-
File format requirements
-
Quantity of files needed
-
Any engineering, tolerancing, or assembly considerations
This step ensures clarity, eliminates misunderstandings, and establishes the most efficient path forward.

Design and Development
Once the project scope is finalized, the 3D modeling process begins.
-
A preliminary draft is created based on your specifications
-
Key dimensions and design features are verified
-
The draft is sent for client review
-
Adjustments are made as needed within the revision window
After approval of the draft, the final model is completed using professional CAD software and prepared for its intended application (prototyping, manufacturing, or presentation).

Finalization & Delivery
When the design is approved and final payment is received:
-
All agreed-upon files are released to the client
-
Files are delivered in the required formats (STEP, STL, DWG, PDF, etc.)
-
A two-week post-delivery revision window begins (if included in your package)
At this stage, your part is ready for production, prototyping, or submission.
